![]() ![]() ![]() The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period. You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them. On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you. ![]() Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Not his fault, just hard to pose while treading water and still get the blue from the lagoon. There is a professional photographer on the boats who will take pictures of you in the water but many of them do not turn out well. My husband and I both swam in the water the entire time about 20-30 minutes. The actual lagoon was almost otherworldly. If you are in Montego Bay it would be great! ![]() I would not suggest taking this tour if you have a limited amount of days and are in Ocho Rios. The trip to the lagoon took nearly two hours, while the return was just over an hour. It made a long drive even longer, as we had to stop many times to pick up other people from different hotels, many of which were late getting to the lobby some 10 minutes. Because of this, we were the first guests to be picked up by the shuttle and the last to be dropped off. We cannot confirm it but suspect Bob Marley must have been here and thought “Stir It Up” and “don’t worry about a thing, every little (dinoflagellate) thing is gonna be alright”.įrequency: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Our resort was in Ocho Rios, but unfortunately the luminous lagoon is about 15 minutes away from Montego bay. No visitor to this area should miss this opportunity to see the best dinoflagellate light show on the planet. This unique natural phenomenon exists in only four places on earth. This phosphorescent effect is so pronounced that fish swimming about the lagoon seem moving stars. The continued downstream current of the river activates the microbes to move and emit neon-green color light not unlike light sticks. The luminous lagoon is the habitat of extremely rare dinoflagellate phosphorescent microbes that only survives where the warm fresh waters of the Martha Brae River meet the salty sea water.
